Ok, my son does not need 500 crayons! So, recently we sifted through all of them and pulled out the broken or “naked” crayons to make some crafts. First, we took any paper off of the broken ones, then separated them all into like colors in an old muffin tin.
Then, we melted them slightly in the oven (broil Lo worked well, 10-15 minutes).
While the crayon cups are still warm, it gives you some time to paint with them! We used Q-tips as paint brushes.
Here is a completed masterpiece from Cody!
Once the crayon cups dried, we were able to pop them out of the baking cups which made cool crayons! We stored them in a decorative jar for later!
Have fun!
